Browser Compatibility Testing

As we start to develop your website design or application we will be continually checking you site to ensure it works across not only the major browsers but is also backwards compatible with previous browsers versions and available on other internet enabled devices.

By following best practise guidelines for web design and development this is usually a relatively straight forward process but often overlooked by other development companies meaning you could miss out on reaching your maximum possible audience.

We test with the following browsers and devices:

Browsers

  • Internet Explorer

  • Firefox

  • Opera

  • Google Chrome

  • Apple Safari

  • iPhone / iPod

  • iPad

  • Android

When we complete website design or application we will begin validation and accessibility testing using the industry recognised standards and tools. This stage is designed to ensure your website meets the exacting standards set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 1.0 (WCAG 1.0) standard. Not only is this good practise but it also helps your site to reach the maximum potential market by ensuring everyone can access you site regardless of technology or user disability.

Ensuring your site meets the W3C markup and CSS requirements is also another great way of ensuring your site will be easily accessed by the search engines and achieve high visibility.

We use the following tools when undertaking validation and accessibility testing:

  • W3C markup validation service

  • W3C CSS validation service - WCAG 1.0 accessibility guidelines
